Things You'll Need:
- 2 Cinder Blocks
- 2 Similar Wood Boards
-
Step 1
Stand the cinder blocks on their ends and space them apart with enough room for the boards to rest on them. They should be about as high as your knees.
-
Step 2
Place the wood boards in between the two cinder blocks, one on top of the other. You want the edges of the boards to be just barely resting on the cinder blocks. The more surface area that isn't supported by the wood, the weaker the boards are in the middle.
-
Step 3
Stand next to the boards with your striking arm perpendicular to the boards. You want the grain of the boards to be running horizontal as you're looking down over them. This ensures that the force of your punch has a greater effect on breaking them.
-
Step 4
Line up your punch beforehand. Make sure that your arm is perfectly straight when it is extended for the punch.
-
Step 5
Take a deep breath and on the exhale strike the boards in a hard, fluid motion as fast as you can. You want your fist to come down straight so that your top knuckles make the most contact with the board.
