Nunchuck combinations are a great exercise to use all of your skills at one time. These tools have been used for centuries and have been performed by thousands of people before you. Once you have practiced this routine a few times, you can effortlessly transition from all the major nunchuck moves and create your own routines.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Have a thorough understanding of nunchuck tricks before you begin. If you do not have experience with other nunchuck tricks, go back and practice the L Strikes, the X Strikes, Switch ups, Wrist Spins and Around the Neck individually.

  2. Step 2

Find a mirror large enough to watch yourself perform the combos. Put enough space between yourself and the mirror so that you do not strike it while running through your combos.

  3. Step 3

Practice your L strikes several times and then transition into X strikes. If you cannot smoothly move from one trick to the next, go back and perform the switch slowly. The most important thing to walk away from doing combos is to have an ability to transition well.

  4. Step 4

Transition into Switch Ups. Perform each trick at least five times before switching to another combination. The repetition in this exercise will help you gain strength with you nunchuck handling.

  5. Step 5

Return to L Strike and then go around the neck. Finish with wrist spins.

Tips & Warnings
  • One excellent way to improve your technique is to adjust your combos to focus on your weak areas. While this might not look smooth and exciting it will help you work out any kinks you have.
