If you want to have fun the next time you get together with the girls, do each other's nails. Don't just paint them one color; make a masterpiece. If you have long nails, you can do a scene from the beach, detailing the water to make your nail art scene look realistic.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Paint brushes
  • Polish remover
  • Nail polish
  • Cleansing pads
  • Cotton swabs
Step1
Paint in the sky and dabble a few clouds in the sky to start your nail art. Make it a sunny day to create some contrast between the sea and the sky. Start the sky at the cuticle so when the recipient shows someone, she can see the scene upright. A pretty pink and orange with fluffy white clouds can make it seem sunny.
Step2
Allow the polish to dry as you add each color. Add the blue for the sea next to help create the beach scene but leave a slant for the shoreline and enough room at the tip for additional details.
Step3
Dry the blue sea. Angle the brush and lightly dab in some white at the shoreline. You want to make the edge of the water look like crashing waves that form sea foam, so keep the dabs light and follow the shoreline.
Step4
Add some waves in the middle of the blue ocean. Again keep the white light when you dab it on. Remember the last time you were at the beach. You saw blue water and little swells and lines of white where the waves broke.
Step5
Check your work. If you think that you put too much white on the picture, you can always add more blue back into the water. A clear glitter to make the water sparkle is a nice touch to create a beach scene.
Step6
Dry the nail and finish your nail art with sand and a palm tree.

Tips & Warnings

  • Clean up any mistakes in the nail art with cotton cleansing pads or cotton swabs as soon as you make them. Even the steadiest hand is bound to slip.
