Things You'll Need:
- Two synthesizers
- Multi-rig stand
-
Step 1
Find an ideal place to set up your multi-rig synthesizer stand. This means finding a place with enough room for you to stand comfortably behind your keyboards and that also is in close proximity to the power outlets and amplifier you are using.
-
Step 2
Put your first synthesizer on top. It should be as high up as you can get it while still remaining at a comfortable level for playing. You could be playing for a very long time, so comfort is always a factor.
-
Step 3
Place any other synthesizers at a comfortable level below your top one. The most common multi-rig stands will only have two or three holders for your synthesizers. And unless you are a very intense synthesizer musician, you won't really need anymore.
-
Step 4
Secure everything. You do not need your synthesizer sliding around and potentially crashing to the ground when you play. There should be plastic slides and fasteners that will keep your machine safely secured.
-
Step 5
Locate all your cords and plug them in before the show. If you selected a good spot as recommended in Step 1, this step should be easy. It is also a vital step, since synthesizers often require many cables and pedals and checking connections will not be easy during a show.
