Things You'll Need:
- Mixer
- Two turntables
- Amp
- Two speakers
- Cables
- Headphones

Step 1
Set up your equipment properly, using the right cables when needed. You'll find outputs on the back of your mixer that the two turntables need to plug into.

Attach your amp to the turntables by using the appropriate cable. The amp tunes the records and keeps the equipment from screeching.

Connect speakers to your amp. Usually you can attach one speaker to the amp and the second speaker to the first one. In some cases, you may find it easier to hook your amp up to a radio to use those speakers.

Place two different records on your turntables, one on each turntable. This gives you two songs to work with.

Plug in your headphones. The headphones reduce the amount of noise you hear to block out the crowd and allow you to hear the same thing the crowd does.

Use the cross fader button to switch back and forth between the two records. You'll find this button in the middle of the mixer.

Try out the different functions on your mixer to see exactly what your equipment is capable of and to mix things up a little for the crowd. It may take some practice to get up to speed with some of the equipment.
