A juggler not knowing how to use three clubs is like a driver not knowing which pedal is the gas. Just because it's common doesn't mean it's not frustrating. If you are having difficulty mastering this technique, chances are you are chasing after clubs or putting too much spin on them and you are getting hit in the face. Luckily, these problems are easily fixable.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Three juggling clubs
  • High wall
  1. Step 1

Choke up on the club, if you are giving it too much spin. This is how to avoid being smashed in the face by clubs. Choking up means moving your hand to the middle of the club, where the grip ends and the fat half of the club starts. Too many times, new jugglers hold the skinny end and toss the clubs up and give it too much spin.

  2. Step 2

Get used to the new feel of choking up on the club. Now that you are focusing on the bigger part of the club, you will find it more difficult to hold two in one hand. Basically, you have to learn your handwork all over again. But soon you will see the benefits, as your control rises and your mistakes disappear.

  3. Step 3

Face a tall wall if you find yourself constantly running after clubs. Pick a wall where you will not break a window or hurt a bystander. Good options are gymnasium walls or windowless brick walls.

  4. Step 4

Hitting your clubs against a wall helps you correct your throws and keeps them straight. This will also save you from having to chase after clubs.

  5. Step 5

Start from scratch, if you find these tips don't work. Many times, new jugglers try and move forward before they are ready. If the above problems persist, it means you should go back to using one or two clubs until you feel you've mastered them with both hands.
