How to See Five Cool Things at Yellowstone National Park
The oldest and possibly most popular of all of America's parks, Yellowstone National Park covers territory in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Home to great varieties of wildlife such as the grizzly, elk, wolves and bison, seen five cool things is a snap in this national treasure.

Travel back in time on Specimen Ridge, found along the Northeast Entrance Road, just east of Tower Junction. You are sure to see multiple cool things as you wander through the petrified forest where you can find ancient leaf impressions, petrified pollen and conifer needles that speak of the incredible evolution of Yellowstone National Park.

Be amazed with the crystal clear waters and daunting depths of the Abyss Pool, a natural hot spring found in the West Thumb Geyser Basin. Also called the "Tapering Spring," the walls of the pool are a unique coral-like texture and slope dramatically into the mysterious depths.

Walk a ways from the parking area slightly south of Old faithful and catch a glimpse of the Kepler Cascades, an easy to access 125 foot waterfall that shouldn't be missed.

Take a trip to Firehole River to see the steam rise off the water. In additional to the unbelievable natural wonders of the Firehole, you can also get in some fly-fishing, as the water is home to brook, rainbow and brown trout.

Make your trip complete with a trek through geyser country. While Old Faithful is the most famous of all geysers in Yellowstone National Park, there are plenty of cool things to see as you travel through the multiple geysers basins.
