Step 1
Clean the birdbath with detergent and a stiff brush. Paint with plastic or concrete paint if desired.
-
Step 2
Fill the bowl of the birdbath with colored stones, marbles or artificial flowers and plants. If the bowl is concrete, you can create a mosaic with broken plates and tiles.
-
Step 3
Measure the open part of the birdbath. Get a piece of glass cut to a diameter slightly larger than the opening. Put the glass on top of the birdbath.
-
Step 4
Cut a piece of MDF or plywood to the diameter of the opening if you want a wooden tabletop. Round the edges with a router. Cut scrap pieces of lumber into 4-inch strips.
-
Step 5
Cover the wood with a coat of primer. Allow it to dry, then sand. Paint the tabletops with a layer of glossy paint.
-
Step 6
Glue the scrap pieces of lumber to the bottom of the tabletop. Cover the table top with an outdoor varnish. Put the tabletop on top of the birdbath.
