How to Make Herb Soap Balls
Make some herb soap balls and treat yourself with a warm bath at the end of a long day. The aroma of the herbs will relax you, the essential oils will soften and revitalize your skin, and a few herb soap balls placed in a plate on your bathroom counter will diffuse the room with a lovely scent. Things You'll Need
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 2 tbsp. fresh herbs, freshly ground
- 10 drops essential oil
- 4 cups castile or Ivory soap, shredded
- Plastic wrap

Choose the herbs you will use in the herb soap balls. Good choices include lavender, chamomile, peppermint, sage, rosehips, thyme, rosemary, calendula or any combination.

Select essential oils that will blend and complement with the herbs.

Grind the herbs with a mortar and pestle or process them in a blender until they're pulverized.

Place the ground herbs in a small bowl and pour the boiling water over the herbs. Add the essential oils and stir the mixture.

Allow the herbal mixture to steep for about 15 to 20 minutes. Put the herbal mixture in a small saucepan and heat it until it's bubbly.

Shred the Ivory or castile soap into a mixing bowl and pour the warm herbal mixture over the soap. Mix the herbal soap with your hands, and set it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.

Blend the herbal soap with your hands again, and balls. Place the herbal soap balls on a piece of plastic wrap and let them season for three days before using.
