How to Create Wax Dipped Scented Teddy Bears
Everyone likes their home to smell nice, but fragrance receptacles tend to be somewhat unattractive. However, the steps below will guide you through making a scented teddy bear that provides a cute display as well as a pleasantly scented atmosphere. Dipping the bear in wax helps it to hold the scent for an extended period.
Things You'll Need
- Teddy bear
- Crockpot
- 1 lb. wax
- 15 ml fragrance oil
- Heat resistant rubber gloves
- Fork
- Wax paper
- Plate
- Syringe
Instructions

1
Melt the wax in an old crockpot. If you'd prefer not to use a crockpot, be sure that it is something that will melt the wax evenly, and something you don't plan to use for anything else.
-
2
Remove the melted wax from the heat and allow it to cool slightly. Add one to two ounces of fragrance oil to the wax.
-
-
3
Put on the rubber gloves and dip the teddy bear in the wax immediately after stirring in the fragrance oil. Submerge the bear completely.
-
4
Squeeze off the excess wax as you remove the teddy bear from the crockpot.
-
5
Fluff and separate the teddy bear's fur with the fork immediately, before the wax dries. Put the bear in the position desired.
-
6
Place the teddy bear on the wax paper to dry. When it is completely dry, use a hair dryer to melt and smooth out any remaining lumps in the fur.

Tips & Warnings
For best results, use a teddy bear with short fur and that is jointed or already in a sitting position so it will fit in the crockpot.
As an alternative to submerging the bear in the wax, fill a syringe with the hot wax and inject it into the teddy bear.
Display the teddy bear on a plate to protect your furniture from wax residue.
