If you have dry hair, dry scalp, itchy scalp, dandruff or psoriasis, you may find that natural, homemade rosemary and lavender scalp oil is a very beneficial treatment. After a few treatments with the blend of essential oils, you'll notice that your hair is getting glossy, healthy and full.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6 drops lavender essential oil
  • 6 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 6 drops thyme essential oil
  • 6 drops cedarwood essential oil
  • 1/4 cup tea tree oil
  • 1/4 cup jojoba oil
  1. Step 1

Place the tea tree and jojoba oil in a glass jar with a tightly fitting lid.

  2. Step 2

Add the essential oils and put the lid on tightly. Shake the jar until the oils are thoroughly blended. Keep the jar tightly sealed.

  3. Step 3

Warm the rosemary and lavender scalp oil in the microwave or in a pot of simmering water until it's warm but not hot.

  4. Step 4

Put several drops of the oil on the scalp before going to bed every night, and massage it with your fingertips for 4 to 5 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Wash the rosemary and lavender oil out with a good quality moisturizing shampoo in the morning and follow with a moisturizing conditioner.

Tips & Warnings
  • Put an old, clean towel on your pillow, because the essential oils can stain bed linens.
  • Rosemary and lavender scalp oil makes an excellent leave-in treatment for damaged and split ends. Moisten your fingers with a bit of the scalp oil and massage a small amount into the ends of your hair.
