How to Use Essential Oils for Wrinkles
Companies creating skin care products make a fortune each year on sales of wrinkle creams; however, most of the time the active ingredients are essential oils which you can purchase for a fraction of the price. - Your choice of essential oils
- Distilled water
- Cotton balls
- Minimum SPF 30 sunscreen
- Extra virgin, cold pressed olive oil
- Natural green clay powder

Begin with a healing cleanser, making a skin toner which will also help to combat wrinkles. Choose from peppermint, niaouli, lemon, lemongrass, juniper or sweet basil, adding 3 drops of your chosen oil to 2 Tbsp. of distilled water. Apply the toner with a cotton ball after washing your face each morning and at night before bed.

Hydrate your skin and protect yourself from future wrinkles caused by sun damage by applying a sunscreen with added essential oil after applying toner. Add a single drop of sweet orange, tangerine, mandarine, rose or neroli to minimum 30 SPF sunscreen each and everyday.

Use a homemade nighttime moisturizer to help combat wrinkles. Mix 2 Tbsp. of cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil and 5 to 10 drops of carrot seed, frankincense, fennel, myrrh, rose, geranium, patchouli or lavender. Massage a small amount of oil into your face and neck and leave overnight, every night.

Treat yourself occasionally to a regenerative face mask which will help to firm the skin and reduce the wrinkles. Add 1 or 2 drops of frankincense, lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil, calendula or carrot seed with 1 or 2 Tbsp. of natural green clay. Add enough water to make a paste and apply evenly to your face and neck. Leave for 30 minutes and then rinse with cool water, repeating two to three times a week.
