How to Find a Job With a MLB Franchise

Obtaining a job with a major league baseball franchise is the dream for many fans. There are positions available, and you can start at the entry level and work yourself to the very top of an organization.

1. Get an education. Most individuals who work in major league baseball have a Business, Sports Administration, Accounting or Marketing degree. If you have any of these degrees you are well on your way to a career in baseball.

2. Have knowledge of the game. It is important to understand the game you are wanting to work with.

3. Research the types of jobs that are found within a major league baseball franchise. Major league teams are often hard to get in with and it is often a great idea to take a position with a minor league affiliate team and eventually work your way up to the majors. This is the same principle that baseball players must follow as well.

4. Contact whatever major league and minor league baseball teams that you would be interested in working for. Express your interest in their team, what position you are interested in, and ask if you can email or fax a resume to them.

5. Interview for jobs. Remain patient. There may be some dead time before you hear from anyone but if you need out enough leads, someone will need help.
