Things You'll Need:
- Headgear
- Wrestling mat
- Wrestling partner
-
Step 1
Practice this move in a non-match situation with a partner. Run through the basic motions several times in slow motion before going full speed. This is a risky move and can cause serious injury if not performed properly.
-
Step 2
Lock arms with your partner and progress into a two-on-one arm tie. This spreads your opponent's stance out and gives you the leverage to perform the mule kick.
-
Step 3
Move the foot nearest your opponent toward the center of his stance. Keep in mind your own stance, this move requires you to be on one leg briefly. Position your back leg so it can maintain your control.
-
Step 4
Pick your lead leg up quickly and drive your heel into the upper thigh of the opponent. It is not necessary to actually kick the thigh, just apply a great deal of force to the high part of the opponent's leg. Meanwhile pull your arm lock toward the mat, forcing your opponent to the mat.
-
Step 5
Reach for your opponent's far hip while falling. This will put you in position to score points.
