How to Deal With Rude Coworkers
Most of us spend more time at work than we do with our families, and a bad relationship with a coworker can be detrimental to an enjoyable work experience. Whether the colleague is rude to everyone or just rude to you, there are ways to deal with a coworker who has gotten under your skin.

Spend as little time as you can with this person. Whenever possible choose to work on projects with other individuals, and steer clear of the rude coworker when you can. If that is not possible, then there are other ways to deal with this monster.

Talk to your rude coworker face to face. This may be the most difficult thing to do if you hate confrontations, but a conversation regarding your coworkers rudeness and the fact that it makes your job, and your life, harder is sometimes the only answer to your problem. Make sure to be positive and ask for ways that you can help strengthen the relationship instead of throwing insults at him.

Stay calm in the face of your coworker's rudeness. The workplace is never where you want to become dramatic or over emotional. Keep a civil tongue at all times when trying to deal with a rude coworker.

Be firm when you deal with a rude coworker. Trying to be too nice, or easy going, when you have to work with him, usually leads to you getting walked all over and an increased rudeness from him. You can smile and be cordial, but don't become a doormat.

Take a vacation. When this rude coworker, and the office environment, have seeped into your home and private life, you need to step away. Taking a vacation is especially important when you are forced to work closely with this person at all times.

Refrain from perpetuating work place gossip. This person may annoy you and many other people in the office, but water cooler bashing is not the way to go. Meet outside of work if you feel the need to discuss this person's rudeness with others.

Practical tips dealing with rude worker. 1. Write a complaint letter to your superior. 2. Tell him off right in his face about his unprofessional and crude behavior (if possible right in front of many) as a way to shame him. 3. Ignore him in all aspects except professional matters. 4. Warn others concerning his abusive behavior. 5. Do not cooperate with him if that is possible to indicate your reaction towards unwarranted rudeness. 6. Change company if u can.
