1
Neutralize the image. If you are interested in neutralizing the image so that the colors are brighter and work with each other go to "Image," then "Adjustments," then "Auto Color." This is an automatic preset that (unless you've adjusted the presets already) will automatically neutralize the color in Photoshop CS3.
-
2
Undo this action by going to "Edit" and "Undo" if you don't like the result. Start again by giving your images a layer that can be used on other images just like this one.

3
Go to "Layer," then "New Adjustment Layer" and decide if you want to adjust the color levels or the curves. These will do virtually the same thing, the only difference being the means by which you alter the color.
-
4
Select "OK" in the "New Layer" dialogue box and then select the "Option" button once the new window is opened.
-
5
Click on the "Find Dark & Light" option under "Algorithms" at the top in the "Auto Color Correction Options" dialogue box that is now open and select "Snap Neutral Midtones."
-
6
Change the amount of shadows and highlights that are clipped and adjust the target color for the midtones by going up or down in percentages or double-clicking on the color boxes and changing the target colors from the window. Then press "OK."
-
7
Set the target colors as defaults and select auto color on any subsequent images either by going to "Image" and "Adjustments," then "Auto Color" or by simply selecting cmd+shift+L on a Macintosh computer or ctrl+shift+L on a PC.
