Step 1
Minimize the look of your receding hairline with a mustache. This directs attention away from your forehead and draws the eyes toward the bottom half of your face and outward.
-
Step 2
Beef up a tiny, weak jaw line with a beard or goatee. This not only disguises a softer jaw line, but adds bulk to the chin area.
-
Step 3
Slim down a round face with a short beard or a well-maintained mustache. This adds definition and shape to a not-so-shapely face.
-
Step 4
Offset skinny lips, high foreheads or large noses with a thin mustache and a triangle patch of hair under the lower lip. The extra hair on top and bottom adds balance to such facial features.
-
Step 5
Experiment with any face shape if you have a square jaw line. Square faces are ideal for experimentation.
-
Step 6
Balance a sharp nose or small mouth with or goatee. You could also try a very skinny mustache, though it may not be the most current style out there. Think Clark Gable.
-
Step 7
Pep up a mature, sagging facial shape with a closely clipped beard or five o'clock shadow. This adds softness and disguises any hanging skin.
