Step 1
Purchase the slide appropriate for the pool. There's different slides for residential and commercial pools, and for above and in-ground pools. Consider the depth, angle of the pool walls and the placement of other pool accessories when making the selection.
-
Step 2
Apply for the necessary construction permits in your area. This will vary by location. Do this in advance so that you are ready to go on installation day.
-
Step 3
Follow the manufacturer's instructions provided with the slide. These instructions will guide you through the process of assembly of the specific slide purchased.
-
Step 4
Measure the location for the placement of the slide. This must meet building code and installation instructions. A footprint for the slide placement should be in the directions. Follow the footprint, but consider your pool's specifications. The slope of the deck and the angle of the pool wall are all factors in the slide placement.
-
Step 5
Place the slide in position with the help of a friend. Slides are heavy and the weight is awkward to lift. Attach the slide, per instructions.
-
Step 6
Complete the warranty information and return it to the manufacturer. Keep your owner's manual and warranty information together for future use, if needed.
-
Step 7
Adhere to the appropriate maintenance for the slide to ensure safety and life span of the slide.
