How to use an Organizer

A personal organizer will help you keep track of appointments, contact information and your to do list. Keeping all of this information in one central location makes it easier for you to prepare for your appointments, and keep to your hectic schedule

  • Choose the type of personal organizer you like. There are a variety of styles, they can cost a few dollars or hundreds of dollars. Select one you enjoy looking, and the likelier it is that you'll consistently use it.

  • Make an appointment to fill in your personal organizer each day. Either do this in the morning with your coffee or fill it in the night before to help you prepare for the next day.

  • Fill in your personal organizer. Add all of the contact information and any recurring appointments you know of ahead of time.

  • Jot down your to do list each day and cross items off as you complete each one. Not only does this help cement the habit of referring to your personal organizer, it helps you feel a sense of accomplishment to see what you've completed.

  • Use sticky notes to list things that need to be added to your personal organizer each evening or morning. Sticky notes are a great way to note appointments that come up in the middle of the day until you can add them to the organizer during your normal time.
