Dark facial hair can be embarrassing and detract from facial beauty. Bleach the hair on your upper lip to avoid stubble and make it less noticeable.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Obtain a home facial hair bleaching kit. These kits typically come with everything you need to lighten your upper lip hair at home. Unpack the kit and read the directions carefully to make sure your kit does not have any specific dos or don'ts that are not covered here.

  2. Step 2

Mix the powdered bleach with the activator creme, using the small spatula that is provided in your kit. You can mix these two together on a small glass or plastic plate or piece of cardboard. Take care not to double dip with the spatula. It is important that the remaining powder and activator are not mingled.

  3. Step 3

Apply the creme to your upper lip. Take care to apply the bleach only to the area where the dark hair is found. Spread it on generously, and do not rub it into your skin.

  4. Step 4

Wait the indicated amount of time. Most bleach kits work in ten minutes. Check your package for the recommended wait time.

  5. Step 5

Scrape the creme off of your lip with the spatula. Use a gentle touch, as your skin might be a little tender from the product.

  6. Step 6

Rinse your lip with cool water to remove all traces of bleach and soothe your skin. It is normal for your skin to be slightly pink or irritated due to the chemicals in the bleach. Stay out of the sun and don't apply products to your face until the irritation subsides.
