Your iPhone can also collect your calendar items, photos, email and Safari web browser bookmarks. All of this information comes to your iPhone through iTunes.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Connect your iPhone with its USB2 connector to a computer that has iTunes. ITunes will show a window with several tabs for syncing your iPhone. A capacity bar at the bottom of the window lets you know how much space is available.

  2. Step 2

Select which contacts you want synced with your iPhone under the "Info" tab in iTunes. You can sync all contacts or just selected groups.

  3. Step 3

Choose which iCal calendars you want to sync under the "Info" tab. ITunes will also let you sync calendars from Entourage on a Mac or Outlook on a PC. Under the "Info" tab, you can also choose to sync email accounts and Safari bookmarks

  4. Step 4

Pick whether you want to sync all songs or just selected playlists under the "Music" tab. Check whether you want to include music videos.

  5. Step 5

Check which photos you want to sync to your iPhone under the "Photos" tab. You can choose to sync all photos from iPhoto or just selected albums.

  6. Step 6

Identify which podcasts and videos you want to sync under the "Podcasts" and "Videos" tabs, respectively. Under each tab, you will have the option to sync all podcasts and videos or just ones you haven't heard or seen yet.

  7. Step 7

Click on the "Sync" button at the bottom of the window once you have determined what information you want on your iPhone.
