How to Crochet a Skull cap

      Begin the second round by chaining 1. Do 1 single crochet in the same space as the slip stitch. Chain 3, and do 1 single crochet in the next double crochet. Continue chaining 3 and doing a single crochet in the next double crochet to complete 13 stitches.

      Start the third round with 1 chain, and make 1 single crochet in the first double crochet. Chain 3 and do 1 single crochet in the next chain 3 space. Do this chain 3, 1 single crochet sequence 13 times. Chain 1 and make 1 single crochet in the first double crochet.

      Do rounds 4 to 6 by chaining 1 and making 1 single crochet in the top of the double crochet. Chain 4 and make 1 single crochet in the next chain 3 space. Do this chain 4, 1 single crochet sequence 13 times. Chain 1 and make 1 single crochet in the first double crochet.

      Make round 7 by chaining 1, then make 1 single crochet in the top of the double crochet. Chain 3 and do 1 single crochet in the next single crochet. Chain 3 and do 1 single crochet in the next chain 4 space.

      Repeat Step 5 13 times. Chain 3 and do 1 single crochet in the next single crochet. Chain 1 and make 1 double crochet in the first single crochet from round 6.

      Repeat the following sequence for 12 rounds: Chain 1 and make 1 single crochet in the top of the double crochet. Chain 4 and do 1 single crochet in the next chain 3 space. Continue this pattern for 27 stitches. Chain 1, do 1 double crochet in the next single crochet. Use a safety pin to mark the end of each row as you work these 12 rounds.

      Chain 1 and make 1 single crochet in the same space as the slip stitch. Do 2 single crochet in the next chain 4 space, followed by 1 single crochet in the next single crochet.

      Continue with 2 single crochet in the chain 4 spaces, then a single crochet all the way around, omitting the last single crochet. Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet, for a total of 84 single crochet in the round.

      Begin the last round by chaining 3, then work 1 double crochet in each single crochet all the way around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 3 that started the round. Fasten off the yarn and weave in the end to finish your skull cap.
