When you buy an Apple iPhone, you need to purchase accessories to keep the phone safe and make your phone usage easier and more efficient. Whether you want something to hold your iPhone, protect it or make it more usable, follow the steps to learn how to use iPhone accessories.

From Quick Guide: Using Smart Phones
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase a stereo headset or Bluetooth headset to talk on your Apple iPhone hands-free. A stereo headset uses a cord like the iPod headphones but comes with a microphone so you can listen to music or make phone calls.

  2. Step 2

Buy an extra phone dock or power adapter to charge your iPhone between uses. Keep a car charger in your vehicle, a dock on your desktop or an extra battery in your briefcase so you're never caught with a dead battery.

  3. Step 3

Use a USB cable to connect your phone to your computer. Transfer songs and photos with ease without having to connect to a network.

  4. Step 4

Connect to the AirPort Extreme wireless network adapter to download and browse the Internet with up to broadband speed. Print from your phone, access networked PCs and Macs and download files from the Internet.

  5. Step 5

Download web applications (web apps) to make it easier to access the websites and applications you love. Find applications for games, blogs, news, movie schedules and much more.

  6. Step 6

Carry your iPhone in a specially designed carrying case. Find one with a belt clip, a sports armband or a colored plastic cover for extra function and style. Buy a screen protector to keep from scratching the screen.

  7. Step 7

Read iPhone guidebooks to learn all there is to know about your new phone. Find books online or at bookstores.
