A combination of a variety of Japanese and Chinese martial arts, ninjutsu has become a popular form of self-defense and competitive sport in the United States. Translated as the silent art, ninjutsu was originally designed as used for military combat and utilizes a number of unique techniques, such as wrist bending.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use the ninjutsu wrist bending technique whenever your opponent has taken hold of your clothing and begins to throw punches towards your face. Remember that the wrist is a delicate area of the body, and while ninjutsu is meant to help you overpower an opponent, excessive force can cause serious and permanent injury. Always use extreme caution when practicing and performing ninjutsu techniques.

  2. Step 2

Draw your hand up and take hold of your opponent's wrist which is grabbing at your clothing. As he begins to throw a punch towards your face, step quickly out to the side as you push against their gripping arm, dodging the blow.

  3. Step 3

Strike your opponent's punching arm as you are stepping to the side to further ensure that you are not hit with the punch. Once the punch has been dodged, begin to twist the wrist of the gripping arm out to weaken the grip and take control of the situation.

  4. Step 4

Place your opposite hand on your opponent's elbow joint, taking a firm grip and then turn your body so that you back is facing the front of her body. Pull down firmly on the wrist and elbow, bringing your opponent to the ground.
