How to Get Mew on Pokemon Sapphire

Pokemon is one of the most popular video games of all time and that includes the newest version Sapphire. The game requires you to catch a variety of different mythical Pokemon characters as you progress through the levels. One of the more difficult characters to catch is the psychic creature known as Mew.

  Find a friend who has Mew and ask to trade the character for one of your characters. You can connect the two consoles together and trade.

  Use the Japanese version of Pokemon Sapphire. This version of the game came complete with Mew as a playable character.

  Purchase one of the promo games given out by Toys R Us at a fan event and game launch. That version of the game enabled players to catch Mew.

  Play the game until you reach Level 50 and wait near the grass on Regis Island. Some gamers have found that Mew appears in this area, but it doesn't always work.

  Clone Mew from the Emerald game and upload it onto the Sapphire version. With this trick you can skip trying to track down the character and instead enjoy playing Mew.

  Cheat the system by entering the code 39e924c4 4126a9dd into your game. This should make Mew appear several times throughout the game.

Tips & Warnings

Before entering any code into your console, make sure to save your game first. Sometimes codes can make the system crash, rendering your last game obsolete.
Mew is nearly impossible to find or capture without cheating. If you don't like cheating, then this option isn't for you.
