How to Ninja Fight

Ninjas are some of the best known and most revered martial artists in the history of the world. Their ability to attack with pinpoint precision, use hand to hand fighting techniques and, just as importantly, complete missions without being detected makes knowing how to fight ninja style an important tool.

1. Develop a wide range of unorthodox hand to hand and weapons fighting skills so you can call into action any one of your fighting tools as you need to. Studying the traditional ninja hand to hand fighting system, tai jitsu, gives you not only a punching and kicking ability but detailed martial arts knowledge of the human body and its weaknesses.

2. Understand the situation you're going into before you enter it so that you know how you can win and, if necessary, how to escape. If you know you're going into a situation then plan carefully with as much information as possible. If, however, the situation is spontaneous, then look around you so you know what environment you're in so you can make use of it as necessary.

3. Make everything into a weapon, beginning with the weapons of the human body. Put particular importance on the blade-like bones of your forearms and shins to practice the ninja martial arts style known as shikan-ken. Also learn how using bear-claw and tiger-claw fists give you a few extra, crucial millimeters to attack your opponent in vulnerable stops like the throat and eyes.

4. Practice the ninja way of life, known as ninpo, so your ninja fighting take on a holistic aspect and is not just about incidents of violence. Pay specific attention to ninpo's teaching of martial arts discipline, restraint, healthy living and constant awareness, in addition to hand to hand combat teachings, in order to fight like a true ninja.
