Purchase a fabric softener sheet from a market. Fabric softener sheets are made in organic, a variety of scent(even non scented), variety types, and "GREEN."

Rub fabric sheet over parts of body that will be exposed to mosquitoes. This also works on pets. Repeat as needed. I use on my pets every other day. Remembering that mosquitoes can bite through a variety of fabrics and can travel up or in loose clothing.
Step3
Fabric Softener sheets that you already use on your clothing can help with allergies to new products on skin. AND you don't have to buy something that has only once use.
Step4
After fabric sheet is very useful as a dusting sheet. Old ones can be saved for future dusting.

Place a fabric softener sheet in drawers of clothing.
Allergies. Not everyone can tolerate fabric softener sheets used in the dryer so be aware.

This does not work. Maybe for pets, but not for humans. I heard about this trick and used it when we went camping near water. If anything, we got more bites than usual, like they were attracted to the smell. Don't put your family at risk of getting West Nile virus just to save a few dollars.
