How to Draw Wolves

Wolves are fun to draw and even more fun to meet in the woods.

Wolves have long been revered for their power, prestige and ability to disguise themselves as grandmothers. You can draw wolves with a pen, paper and a few simple steps.

Things You'll Need

• Paper
• Pen, pencil or other drawing tool

Instructions

1. 

   Start by drawing a menacing eyeball.

2. 

   Add the longish snout, sharp teeth and a thick neck.

3. 

   Continue with the bushy tail, back and muscular flanks.

4. 

   Top his flanks with legs and padded paws.

5. 

   Add claws, shading and a few sneaky whiskers for good measure.

Tips & Warnings

• If your dog happens to look like a wolf, as mine does, you can use him as a model.

• Make sure you don't accidentally draw a coyote. Wolves differ from coyotes by having a longer snout and thicker bodies.
