Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Marinara sauce
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • Bread crumbs
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Spices
  • Cooking oil
  • Cooked noodles
  • Parmesan cheese
  1. Step 1

Make homemade marinara or heat up store-bought in a saucepan.

  2. Step 2

Mix breadcrumbs, pepper, salt and garlic powder to taste in a shallow dish.

  3. Step 3

Coat one piece of chicken at a time in the breadcrumb mixture.

  4. Step 4

Heat cooking oil in a skillet to 350 degrees F. Check if it's ready by dipping a piece of uncooked chicken into the oil. If the chicken sizzles, the oil is ready.

  5. Step 5

Use tongs to place two pieces of chicken in the oil.

  6. Step 6

Flip the chicken after 3 minutes so that both sides are cooked thoroughly. The chicken is done when it looks golden brown and there's no pink inside.

  7. Step 7

Place cooked noodles into the bottom of a casserole dish, followed by the chicken breasts, and then top with marinara sauce. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top, and place in the oven at 350 degrees F for five minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't allow the chicken to touch and never stack the breasts on top of each other. This will prevent the chicken from cooking all the way through.

on 6/30/2009 Good article. I dipped my chicken into egg before putting in the bread crumb mixture. Used about two cups bread crumbs and tablespoon of garlic powered, thyme, and organ. Plus added some Parmesan cheese to the mixture as well. Came out great. Thanks for the help.
