Things You'll Need:
- Pair of nunchucks
-
Step 1
Hold one nunchuck in each hand and start the basic beginner L-motion. This is the most basic move for nunchucks, and includes spinning both nunchucks while striking one across your body at the waist and the other up and over your shoulder, alternating the motion at a steady pace.
-
Step 2
Continue doing the L-motion while moving through your form. When you want to incorporate a kick, simple modify the L-motion so that your leg does not get in the way.
-
Step 3
Execute a side kick or hook kick by simply bring the opposite arm across the body and instead of going across the waist, bring the nunchuck under the kicking leg and striking between the legs.
-
Step 4
Execute a spinning kick, tornado kick or similar kick that involves both legs in motion by raising both hands and doing a helicopter motion with the nunchucks. While the kicking techniques are more difficult for this move, the nunchuck technique may be easier for beginners than the L-motion.
-
Step 5
Execute front kick or jumping front kick with a fake by trapping the nunchucks under your arms very briefly as you execute the kick and bringing them back out spinning as soon as you execute the final strike.
