A gilded paste adds a glittering appearance to art. Embellish a henna tattoo by tracing around the artwork with gilded paste. You can also create a tattoo entirely from gilded paste. Make a gilded paste of your own by adding glitter and eye shadow powder to hair gel.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Heavy hair gel
  • Glitter
  • Eye shadow powder
  • Plastic bag
  • Applicator bottle
  1. Step 1

Purchase a heavy hair gel in the desired paste color. Match the color gel to an already existing henna design or make more than one color to create your own art. Use the gel as the base for the paste. Place 1 tbsp. of the gel in a bowl.

  2. Step 2

Mix in cosmetic-grade glitter with a spoon. Add any shimmering eye shadow powder for extra depth if you desire. Mix thoroughly until the glitter shows through the gel.

  3. Step 3

Scoop the gilded paste into a plastic bag. Squeeze it out of the bag into an applicator bottle. The bottle should have a tip size that accommodates your design.

Tips & Warnings
  • Cosmetic-grade glitter is fine enough to fit through applicators and not likely to cause skin irritations.
  • Remove gilded paste from your skin with alcohol on a cotton ball.
