A foreground in iStopMotion animation is an image or series of images that overlay the animation action. The animation frames you shoot appear behind the foreground image, or series of images, which acts as a frame to focus the viewer's eye on the action.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check the system requirements before downloading the demo or purchasing the software license. IStopMotion only runs on Mac. To get the best results, Boinx suggests Mac OS X Tiger, QuickTime version 7.1 at least, a graphics card with OpenGL support and the still camera plugin Mac OS X v 10.3 or newer.
  • Boinx Software recommends that users of Mac OS X v10.2.x run iStopMotion 1.5, and Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" users run iStopMotion version 1.8.1 or newer.
