PulpMotion is a Macintosh application that lets you create animated slideshows from your photos. PulpMotion combines the ease of drag-and-drop execution with a sophisticated library of preset themes to enable complex and professional looking projects with no video editing knowledge or detail intensive work needed. You can even add soundtracks or live video via Mac's iSight web cam.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Click on "File" from the options menu that runs across the top of the PulpMotion opening screen or click the button with the plus sign depicted on it in the lower left corner of the screen. Both "File" and the plus sign bring up the Composition drop-down menu.

  2. Step 2

Select "New Composition" from the drop-down menu. A large New Composition box appears.

  3. Step 3

Enter a name for your PulpMotion animated slideshow at the top of the New Composition box.

  4. Step 4

Browse through the library of themes presented or go down to the search function at the bottom of the box and search through PulpMotion's 40 themes for something specific, like "Christmas."

  5. Step 5

Select a theme for your PulpMotion animated slideshow and click the "Create" button at the very bottom of the box.

  6. Step 6

Work on two compositions at a time. Select a second theme in the New Composition box. The new theme page is presented beneath the previous page in the left hand column of the screen. Click on one of the pages listed in the left hand column to bring up that page in the animation working area.

  7. Step 7

Change the theme of the PulpMotion animated slideshow you're working on. Select the page you want to change and then click on one of the themes presented at the top of the screen.
