Doing a half cab is cool, but it is only cool if you have broken down each aspect of the skateboarding trick and can do them faultlessly together. Once you've done that, you can add all you want to the half cab. One important aspect is sliding the front foot as you do a half cab. Slide it in the wrong direction and you're libel not to make it around.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start out the half cab with good foot position with you back foot near the tail and your front foot near the middle of the board.

  2. Step 2

Get a good pop where you cleanly pop up the nose of the skateboard in preparation for a half cab.

  3. Step 3

Slide your foot from the middle of the board to the side of the board right after you pop the board as you're doing a half cab. Sliding your foot to the side, you're helping the rotation of the board so it's able to turn around for the half cab.

  4. Step 4

Land on the bolts once you've finished your rotation. If you land anywhere else, you risk breaking your board.

  5. Step 5

Practice doing the half cab over and over, focusing on how you slide your front foot. You'll find that if you slide your foot properly, it'll make the trick that much easier to execute.
