Pictures of any size make a wall stand out and get noticed. Hanging a picture on the wall is not very difficult. However, there are a few steps that you should follow in order to hang the picture properly. Here are some steps on how to hang a small picture on the wall.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A small picture in a frame
  • A nail
  • A hammer
  1. Step 1

Choose the wall space where you would like to hang the small picture. Make sure there is enough room to hang the picture so that it does not distract from other pictures or hangings on the wall.

  2. Step 2

Hold the small picture frame up to the wall and stand back a little bit. Decide if you think it would look good in that location or not. You may want to move it up or down a little bit to see what it would look like from different heights.

  3. Step 3

Place your free finger above the picture frame and lay the picture frame to the side. Below your finger is the place where you will place the nail to hang the picture. You can mark this spot with a pencil if you don't plan to hang the picture immediately.

  4. Step 4

Put the tip of the nail on the wall in the spot where you want the picture to hang. Hammer it into the wall at a 45 degree angle. Do not hammer the nail all the way into the wall. Leave a little piece of it sticking out to hang the picture.

  5. Step 5

Hang the picture on the nail. Step back and look at it to make sure it is straight and that you like how it looks on the wall. Straighten it up if necessary.
