Cigar box juggling is a unique form of juggling that is very different from traditional juggling with balls or clubs. If your hands and eyes are quick, there is an unlimited number of variations a juggler can perform with cigar boxes. The Two Cigar Box Snatch is a simple trick that appears complicated to the viewer. By applying some simple basics, you can create an entire act around this approach.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two cigar boxes
  1. Step 1

Take your three boxes and line them up end to end so that the small sides are touching. Grip them the same way you would for a simpler trick, lightly with your thumb and forefinger.

  2. Step 2

Bend deeper than for a simpler trick--the two cigar box snatch requires more air time for your boxes. The higher you come up before release, the more time you get to perform this trick.

  3. Step 3

Spring out of your crouch, raising the boxes to your chest, and release both hands from the boxes. Make sure all three float horizontally.

  4. Step 4

Cross your right hand to the far left box, and grip it with your thumb and forefinger. Quickly swing that box around to the far right side, avoiding contact with the other boxes.

  5. Step 5

Grip the far left box with your left hand now. When all three boxes are in line with each other again, clamp them together by pressing the right and left boxes into the middle one.

Tips & Warnings
  • While only one box is moving during this trick, it is called a two box due to the fact that two boxes change position in the three box lineup.
  • Make this trick reflect your own personality and strengths. Once you feel comfortable with the standard two box variation, you can spice the trick up by flipping a box or rearranging more than one box in midair.
