Things You'll Need:
- Juggling balls
-
Step 1
Toss a ball up and catch it over and over in one hand. This is to get a feel for the ball and the physics of its flight. Make sure you are either outdoors or in a room with lots of space to spread out, like a gymnasium.
-
Step 2
Attempt two balls in one hand. Begin by throwing them both up at the same time from one hand, and then try catching them together. This exercise gives your hand some familiarity and control with multiple balls at once.
-
Step 3
Throw one ball up and then another with one hand next. Maintain a cycle of one going up and one coming down. The trick here is keeping their flight paths even.
-
Step 4
Hold two balls in your dominant hand and another ball in your other hand. Begin your two balls in one hand exercise, and attempt to throw the third into the mix. The key here is spacing out your tosses so you can manage all the balls with one hand.
-
Step 5
Practice variations on the three ball rotation by experimenting with height and speed. If you feel more comfortable with other juggling apparatus, feel free to try that. The possibilities open up with this new skill and allow you to incorporate other tricks with both hands in the future.
