Juggling three rings at once adds a level of complication for the juggler and excitement for the audience that only grows once you master it and move to more rings. But don't get ahead of yourself--let's focus on three.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Three jugglers rings
  1. Step 1

Juggle two rings, and bring in your extra hand and third ring by throwing it into the mix. Begin angling every other ring in your dominant hand to land in your opposite hand.

  2. Step 2

Pick your next trick by trying the back cross. Here you maintain a standard three ring juggle but pass the rings behind your back from one hand to the next. It requires some quick hand work but really pays off.

  3. Step 3

Alternate from the back cross with the shoulder throw. Simply apply the same physics as before, only when the rings land in your dominant hand, drop them low and snap them in reverse up and over your shoulder and over to your other hand.

  4. Step 4

Perform the pirouette. This requires a graceful step that only top notch jugglers have. Perform a standard three ring juggle while spinning your body clockwise. Anticipate where your hand will be when you throw each ring up. This takes practice, but pays off.

  5. Step 5

Snap your wrists as hard as possible at a 60-degree angle, instead of throwing the rings straight up at a 90-degree angle. Ideally, the force will yo-yo the rings back to your other hand.

Tips & Warnings
  • Picking between ring juggling tricks is almost tougher than actually performing the trick. It's best to start simple and work your way up the rope.
  • The split start is always a simple crowd-pleaser. As with all three ring tricks, the secret is angling the rings.
