How to Make Deep Fried Oreos

Deep-fried Oreos made their debut in 2002, when county-fair mainstay Charlie Boghosian, also known as "Chicken Charlie," introduced them in California the year after popularizing deep-fried Twinkies. Since then, Chicken Charlie has fried everything from avocados to Kool-Aid. Frying Oreos isn't much different than frying any type of food. You need a batter, piping-hot oil and a willingness to put your diet aside. A properly deep-fried Oreo is warm and soft in the center and retains its cookie flavor. Does this Spark an idea?
