How to Shop for Triplets
You're the lucky parent of triplets and, like everything else, shopping for them is a source of stress. Luckily, there are some things you can do to save you time and money as you shop for your triplets.

1
Buy in triplicate. Even if you don't believe in your triplets wearing the same clothing all the time, buying three of the same outfit and rotating them can save you time and money.
-
2
Write down the sizes of your triplets. It's unusual for triplets to be identical multiples (one egg split evenly three ways), so it's likely your triplets will be different sizes. Carry around a little notebook that lists their clothing and shoe sizes so you're not guessing in the stores.

3
Purchase preemie clothes for newborns. Triplets are usually born early, which makes them smaller than other newborns. Newborn-sized clothing may be too big for your triplets for several weeks to several months after their birth.
-
4
Find a multiples group in your area. Chances are they know of stores that offer discounts for parents of multiples or know where you can buy two of a product and get one for free.
-
5
Shop on sale, at garage sales and consignment stores. The cost for clothes for one child is overwhelming, the costs for three children at the same age and approximately the same size is staggering. You'll need to shop sales year round to save money.

Tips & Warnings
Avoid buying three of the exact same toys for your triplets. Having different toys lets children have "their own" toys and teaches them how to share with their siblings.
