The upper arms carry extra fatty tissue that give the arms that wiggly, jiggly appearance. Toning the upper arms is the best way to slim them. However, if you have loose skin caused from losing an excessive amount of weight or struggle with saggy skin due to age, an arm lift is a better option.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Free weights
  • Self-tanner
  1. Step 1

Tone your upper arms with daily exercise. A set of free weights is all you need to focus on slimming the biceps and triceps. Perform exercises, such as bicep curls, triceps curls, triceps extensions and push ups.

  2. Step 2

Keep your diet free of fatty foods. Include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, and switch to low-fat salad dressings. Since the upper arm holds excess fat, the less fat in your diet the better.

  3. Step 3

Apply self-tanner according to package directions. After the first layer dries, apply a second layer to your upper arms, using circular motions. This helps give the appearance of slimmer arms and works well if you need a quick fix for a wedding or party.

  4. Step 4

Talk to a doctor about a brachioplasty, otherwise known as an arm lift. This procedure removes saggy skin from excessive weight loss or age, and it's a permanent solution for slimming the upper arms.

  5. Step 5

Practice yoga and Pilates on a regular basis. Both yoga and Pilates help stretch and strengthen muscle and tissue. By lengthening your arms through Pilates and strengthening them through yoga, your arms gradually slim down.
