How to Beat the Ebay Digital Product Ban
Whenever eBay makes changes to their policies, some sellers choose to leave eBay. As sellers leave eBay, this opens up the market for those sellers that find a way to work around the new eBay policies. One of the most controversial changes to eBay auctions was the ban of all digital products. If you used to sell digital products on eBay, there are ways to beat the ban.

1
Place a classified ad on eBay instead of running an auction. The ban on digital products on eBay applies to the auction portion of the site only, not the classified ads. This is because feedback can not be left on classifieds. The eBay ban on digital products is an attempt to stop people from purchasing one cent downloads to get the feedback. When running classifieds on eBay, your customer have the choice of "opting in" which means they are subscribing to your mailing list.

2
Solicit your customers privately after they have "opted into" your mailing list. Refer them to a private website where you sell digital downloads. Since you are not selling through eBay when they buy from your website, you can still sell them digital downloads.

3
Put your digital downloads on to disc and ship them to your customers when selling on auction. You are still allowed to sell your digital items, but you must provide a tangible, ship-able item. This is easy enough to do by putting your digital product onto disc and mailing the disc to your customer.
-
4
Up-sell your customers when they buy through an eBay auction. Offer to burn multiple items onto the same disc and ship the additional items free of charge. Since your customer is already paying for shipping on the disc when he wins the first auction and the shipping cost does not increase when you put several items onto the disc, you may be able to get him to buy more than one item from you.
-
5
Capitalize on the freedom that comes from having a tangible product when selling on eBay auctions. With the new policies, you are no longer restricted by eBay's digital item policy. This means you are free to list in more categories and you can run your auctions in standard auction format instead of having to use the "Buy It Now" feature.
