How to Make an Apple-Honey Shake
If you're tired of the same old milkshake or smoothie, try a delicious apple-honey shake. A fresh apple-honey shake makes an absolutely delicious breakfast drink, or a nutritious middle-of-the-day energy booster. Things You'll Need
- Blender or food processor
- 1 qt. apple cider
- 2 cups orange juice
- 2 tsp. freshly grated orange rind
- Tall glasses
- Fresh mint sprigs
- Orange slices
- Apple slices
- Ice

Chill the apple cider and orange juice for at least a couple of hours before making the apple-honey shake.

Place the apple cider and orange juice in a blender or food processor.

Add the honey and freshly grated orange rind.

Blend the ingredients until they're smooth and creamy.

Place some ice in tall glasses and pour the apple-honey shake over the ice.

Garnish the apple-honey shake with a thin slice of apple or an orange wedge and a few sprigs of fresh mint leaves.

Tips & Warnings
Although frozen orange juice works beautifully in apple-honey shakes, freshly squeezed juice is even better.
If you prefer a creamier apple-honey shake, add a scoop of chilled yogurt, either flavored or plain, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Apple-honey shakes can be garnished with any fruit you like, including a chunk of mango or kiwi. You can even sprinkle a few fresh berries on top of the shake.
If you like bananas, apple-honey shakes are delicious with the addition of a half of a banana. Freeze the banana for a couple of hours first and simply blend it with the other ingredients.
