As you surf the Internet, your computer logs a history of every website that you visit. This can prove troublesome, especially if you spend your time visiting questionable sites. The best way to get rid of the evidence is to learn how to clear your history from Internet Explorer 7 or whichever version you use. With a few clicks, you can erase all your indiscretions and keep your job.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Close down all the windows on your computer desktop, then open up a fresh Internet Explorer 7 browser. This ensures that you clear out every site from your history in one action.

  2. Step 2

Access your browser's Tools menu, which is located in the top menu bar of the browser. Click on "Tools" and then choose "Delete Browsing History" from the drop-down menu.

  3. Step 3

Choose the appropriate button on the pop-up box. It gives various options, such as clearing out your temporary Internet files and passwords, but your safest bet is to clear out everything in the history. You can do so by clicking on the "Delete All" button at the bottom of the window. You then get a second pop-up window that asks you to confirm that you really want to delete all of your history. Click "OK."

  4. Step 4

Double-check your work. Close out of the current browser and open a new Internet Explorer 7 window. Now check your browsing history. It should be completely clear. To confirm, also try typing something into the address bar. If the history is clear, it won't show any options there either.
