Fry the bacon until it's slightly crispy and place it on a paper towel to cool slightly. Crumble the bacon and set it aside.

    • 2

Mix the ground beef with the barbecue sauce.

    • 3

Divide the ground beef mixture into eight portions and shape them into thin patties. Put a spoonful of crumbled bacon on each patty and top it with a second patty. Press the patties together to seal them with the bacon in the middle. Set them aside.

    • 4

Heat the grill and cook the hamburger patties for 5 to 6 minutes or until they reach your preferred level of doneness. Put a cheese slice on each cooked patty and leave it on the grill until the cheese melts.

    • 5

Put the patties in the buns and put the bacon cheeseburgers on a plate and cover the plate with aluminum foil until you're ready to serve them. Serve them with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and condiments of your choice.
