Kurt Angle revolutionized the wrestling world by taking his amateur background to the pro level. Wrestling like the former Olympian Kurt Angle is a matter of taking the mat-based style of the pro game and adding it to the dramatics and gimmicks of pro wrestling.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep the mach on the ground for the most part. While Angle used one arial move--the moonsault--early in his pro career, he mostly uses mat-based wrestling moves, such as sleeper holds, suplexes and body locks.

  2. Step 2

Weaken your opponent with a series of German suplexes. Wrap your arms around his waist from behind, lift him up and slam him to the mat backwards. Don't let go of him until you have hit him with at least three straight suplexes.

  3. Step 3

Hit him with the "Olympic Slam" as a possible finisher. Wrap your right arm against his left leg and drape his left arm over your neck. Lift him up and then fall over backwards, slamming him back first.

  4. Step 4

Make him submit with the ankle lock. When he's lying face down, grab his foot with both arms and twist the ankle until he taps out. (For effect in a "pro" match, Angle lifts the shoe off the heel and just twists it.)

Tips & Warnings
  • The one flying attack Kurt Angle has tried in his career is the moonsault. When your opponent is down, climb to the top turnbuckle, facing outside the ring, and do a leaping backflip down onto your opponent.
