How to Add a Web Page to StumbleUpon

StumbleUpon is one of the newest and most effective social networking sites online. Through StumbleUpon, you can find web pages that interest you and share pages you like with other web surfers. The StumbleUpon toolbar gives you the ability to add a web page to StumbleUpon, that you can share with your friends online.

Instructions

    • 1

Browse the StumbleUpon home page. From there, you will download and install the StumbleUpon toolbar that is appropriate for your Internet browser (see Resources below).

    • 2

Restart your Internet browser. You will now see the StumbleUpon toolbar at the top of your Internet browser window. Just to the right of the word "Stumble" is a pair of "Thumbs Up" and "Thumbs Down" images. These are the tools you use to add a web page to StumbleUpon or to let StumbleUpon know you don't like a web page.

    • 3

Click the "Thumbs Up" image. If the web page you are trying to add to StumbleUpon is already in StumbleUpon, the image will highlight and nothing else will happen. If the web page isn't already on StumbleUpon, you will have a window pop up.

    • 4

Fill in the information in the pop-up window. Enter a title for the page, and a short description of what you find on the page and what you like about the page.

    • 5

Browse to your StumbleUpon home page to verify that you have successfully added the website to StumbleUpon.

Tips & Warnings

  • If the website you want to add is already on StumbleUpon, you can add a review of the website by clicking the "text balloon" icon in the StumbleUpon toolbar, immediately to the right of the "Send to" button.
