A mustache is defined as a growth of hair that sits on the upper lip, below the nose. However, to the men who grow them and the women who love them, a mustache is a style statement. There are many different styles of mustaches from which to choose.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Clip your mustache every day to keep it sharp, and do not allow it to grow beyond the corners of your mouth if you want to grow an office mustache. An office mustache is a respectable style that is favored among men who are conservative.

  2. Step 2

Go for a classic look by growing an English mustache. English mustaches were popular among military men of the British empire. An English mustache is narrow, with long whiskers that are pulled to the side. Sometimes the ends are slightly curled upwards. The hairs of the mustache need to be kept well trimmed.

  3. Step 3

Add some styling gel to your English mustache and point the ends up dramatically and you have a Dali mustache. Dali mustaches are often worn with small goatees.

  4. Step 4

Style the ends of your mustache downward to create a Fu Manchu. Some men choose to grow the ends of their Fu Manchu mustache a good foot below their chin.

  5. Step 5

Grow a wide, bushy mustache and curve the ends slightly upward if you want an Imperial mustache. Imperial mustaches are great for men with round or square faces.

  6. Step 6

Create a more startling effect by growing a GG mustache. A GG mustache is grown only over the sides of your upper lip, leaving a small area directly below the nose clean shaven.

  7. Step 7

Pick the opposite of a GG mustache and grow a toothbrush mustache. A toothbrush mustache is confined to a 1 inch space in the middle of the upper lip. Both sides of the upper lip are clean shaven (think Adolf Hitler).
