How to Start a Food Fight

Adults and children love food fights. Food is easy to throw, makes a big mess and is readily available. There's a time and place for everything though so don't plan a food fight in a restaurant or your mother's house.

Instructions

    • 1

Plan the location of your food fight. The best place for a food fight is outdoors. A barbecue or picnic is the best time and situation for a food fight because you can clean up easily and won't damage anything.

    • 2

Choose the food for your food fight. Food that smears on impact works best because it makes a large mess and won't harm the person you targeted. Try fluffy pies such as banana cream or pudding pies, tomatoes, muffins, potato salad, creamed corn, coleslaw or bananas.

    • 3

Pick your target for the food fight. Choose someone who has a sense of humor and is willing to fight back. Don't start with someone easily hurt or sensitive as they may feel you are being mean.

    • 4

Yell "Food Fight!" and continue throwing food at random people. Find a place to seek cover with a pile of food to throw. Continue the food fight until you run out of food.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you plan the food fight ahead of time you can stockpile food in a hidden location. When the food fight starts you can seek cover in the location of the hidden food to gain an advantage.

  • Don't throw food like apples, oranges or pears. They will hurt when they hit the target and cause bruising on your victim and the fruit.

  • Be selective with your initial target. You want to start a food fight, not a real one.
