When you have a blog or a website, it's sometimes a challenge to keep the content fresh and interesting. A great way to do this is by adding an interactive quiz to your home page or blog. One of the simplest methods to accomplish this is to use a quiz template from the Internet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

    Initial Design and Quiz Setup

  1. Step 1

Choose an interactive quiz provider. You can use My Studiyo or QuizYourFriends (see Resources), or locate another free provider online.

  2. Step 2

Register with the interactive quiz provider for access to the service. It takes about 30 seconds to set up a user name, provide your email address and establish a password. You also need to read and acknowledge agreement with the provider Terms of Service and Privacy conditions.

  3. Step 3

Define the purpose of your interactive quiz and choose the appropriate interactive quiz template. Most interactive quiz providers make several options available.

  4. Step 4

Follow the steps the quiz provider outlines. Your first choice consists of how you want the quiz to look when it's posted on your homepage. Depending on the provider, you may have a choice of colors, sizes and format.

  5. Step 5

Name the quiz and decide whether you want to add an introduction. You can opt for three different types--image, video or text, or you don't have to use an introduction at all.

  6. Step 6

Design the questions and answers using the provider's website. Type in the question and then provide the answers. Some templates only allow one answer to be the correct one. Define the correct one by checking the appropriate circle. With each question and answer, you have the option to explain the reason for the correct answer and to provide a link to a website. The link opens in a new window when it's clicked.

  7. Step 7

Preview the quiz and make sure it meets your expectations. Make any desired changes then click "Next" to start the finishing process.

  8. Finalizing the Interactive Quiz

  9. Step 1

Select how you want the quiz to conclude. You have the option of choosing some type of media to appear at the end. The choices include an image, a video or text that you provide. You also can choose to do none of these.

  10. Step 2

Decide how your want your quiz participants to respond. The choices include having them click on a link that sends them to an external website, entering their email address or entering information like their name.

  11. Step 3

Choose whether you'd like to make use of the advanced options that request further information from your quiz participants.

  12. Step 4

Embed the quiz on your homepage by copying and pasting the HTML code onto your page. Some interactive quiz providers also offer a quick post method to many popular social network sites. You also have the option of sending the quiz to everyone in your address book via email.

Tips & Warnings
  • Since you registered as a user, the quizzes you create are saved on the server so you can access them later.
  • Some interactive quiz sites might have time restrictions as to how long created quizzes are available.
